optionXpress appoints Patrick Schuler CTO, CEO Barry Metzger, brokersXpress
optionXpress Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: OXPS), options and online brokers, today announced the hiring of two new senior executives, Barry Metzger and Patrick Schuler.
optionXpress Metzger joins as General Manager of its subsidiary brokersXpress, a platform of representatives of brokerage services and independent registered investment advisors. In this role, he will be responsible for the growth strategy of brokersXpress, including sales and marketing, recruitment and continued product enhancements. Before coming to brokersXpress, Metzger was Vice President and Regional Training Manager at Morgan Stanley, focused on recruitment, training and retention of financial advisors.
Metzger will report to Ned Bennett, Chairman of the Board of brokersXpress. Bennett says Metzger brings a high level of energy and a track record serving investment professionals. “We are delighted to bring to Barry and his unique ability to find innovative ways to meet the needs of brokers and independent advisors. With his background, brokersXpress should distinguish itself as the main platform for brokering the growing customer base.”
Schuler joins optionXpress as Chief Technology Officer, reporting to CEO David kalt, who had also served as CTO of the company since its founding in 2000. In this paper, is responsible for all optionXpress technology initiatives, including technology development and deployment of products, database architecture and strategies, and all the networks and infrastructure systems.
Schuler brings over 20 years of experience in the technology of the securities industry, most recently Goldman Sachs & Co. where he served as Vice President and Global Head, Regional Enterprise Technology. In this role, Schuler managed a global team responsible for technology strategy and implementation of regional offices around the world.
